KKTC President Ersin Tatar spoke exclusively to Haberler.com Editor-in-Chief Av. Bedia Teymur and Gökay Kalaycıoğlu. Starting his speech by commemorating our martyrs on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation, Tatar expressed the difficulties faced by the Turkish Cypriots before the operation, saying, "We did not have a happy childhood because we grew up in the midst of war. I was 3 years old and I can never forget my neighbors who were killed by the Greeks. I can never forget that night."

The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, used the phrase "I couldn't experience my childhood" while talking about the atmosphere before the Cyprus Peace Operation in an exclusive interview with Haberler.com.

On the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation, a meaningful publication came from Haberler.com. The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, made important statements as a guest on the Haber Bahane program of Haberler.com, hosted by Av. Bedia Teymur and Gökay Kalaycıoğlu.

Talking about what he experienced before the Cyprus Peace Operation, Ersin Tatar said, "The Turkish Cypriots paid a heavy price, they sacrificed martyrs. We faced terrorism where people were shot just because they were Turkish."

"I COULDN'T EXPERIENCE MY CHILDHOOD"

Tatar, while describing those times, used the phrase "I couldn't experience my childhood. Everything on an island at war is dependent on the outside. At that time, they announced a decision where everyone would receive 30 Cyprus Lira. This was not a large amount of money. As a result, a sense of justice strengthened within the society."
