In the Tekkeköy district of Samsun, during an argument that broke out over the cutting of a quince tree branch, nephew M.Ç. shot and killed his uncle İbrahim Çam with a pistol. After the incident, the suspect fled, and gendarmerie teams initiated search efforts to capture him.
A dispute over the cutting of a quince tree in the Tekkeköy district of Samsun ended in murder. According to the allegations, Mustafa Çam (43), who had arrived from France a few days earlier, argued with his uncle İbrahim Çam (73), who had cut down the quince tree near his home. The incident turned into a fight, and Mustafa Çam shot his uncle in the head with a pistol, killing him.
The incident occurred around 19:00 in the Yağbasan neighborhood of the Tekkeköy district. According to the information obtained, Mustafa Çam, who lives in France, had come to Samsun a few days earlier.
ARGUMENT OVER QUINCE TREE
According to the allegations, while Mustafa Çam was on the balcony, he began arguing with his uncle İbrahim Çam, who was cutting down the quince tree next to his house.
As the argument over the tree cutting quickly escalated, a fight broke out between the parties.
SHOT HIS UNCLE WITH A PISTOL
It was claimed that as the fight escalated, Mustafa Çam fired at his uncle with an unlicensed pistol. İbrahim Çam was shot in the head and under the armpit.
Upon reports from those who heard the gunshots, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area.
DIED AT THE HOSPITAL
İbrahim Çam, severely injured, was taken to a private hospital after initial medical intervention at the scene. However, despite all efforts by the doctors, 73-year-old Çam could not be saved and died.
OPERATION LAUNCHED TO APPREHEND THE SUSPECT
It was reported that Mustafa Çam fled the area after the incident. Gendarmerie teams launched an operation to apprehend the suspect.
On the other hand, it was learned that the parties lived in the same building and it was claimed that there had been a longstanding feud between them due to a land dispute.
