Ahead of the midterm elections in the US on November 3, serious sexual assault allegations linked to Jeffrey Epstein were leveled against Donald Trump. A report prepared by Democrats included the statement by former Swiss beauty queen Beatrice Keul that she was raped by Trump in 1993. The White House denied the allegations, while Democrats called for an independent investigation.
Democratic members of the US House Judiciary Committee released a new report based on documents in the Jeffrey Epstein files and victim statements.
In the report made public on October 26, the past relationship between Trump and Epstein and sexual assault allegations by some women were examined in detail.
One of the prominent names in the report was former Miss Switzerland and model Beatrice Keul. Keul alleged that in November 1993, when she was 24, she was raped by Trump in a hotel room.
Keul's statements, in which she told Democratic committee staff what happened to her, were at the center of the new allegations against Trump.
SHE SAID THEY MET AT A BEAUTY PAGEANT
According to Keul's account, the events began during the American Dream Beauty Pageant, held under Trump's sponsorship.
Keul, who participated in the organization held in the US, met Trump at a press dinner held as part of the event.
Keul, who stated that she also met Jeffrey Epstein at the same organization, said Epstein spoke with her for about 10 minutes.
Keul recounted that during the conversations, various promises were made to her about studying in the US and continuing her career.
SHE ALLEGED SHE WAS PROMISED A VISA AND UNIVERSITY EDUCATION
According to statements in the report, Trump told Keul he would help her obtain a US visa and be admitted to New York University.
Keul alleged that Trump indicated she could use the support of Paolo Zampolli, a figure in his inner circle, during this process.
Zampolli, a name Trump had known for many years, later held various roles in the Trump administration.
Keul conveyed that Epstein also said he could help her during the organization.
The report prepared by Democrats included the assessment that the promises of education and visas resembled Epstein's methods of building relationships with victims.
SHE CLAIMED SHE WAS RAPED IN A HOTEL ROOM
Keul alleged that Trump invited her to a suite at the hotel where he was staying and that she was subjected to a severe sexual assault there.
In the statement conveyed in the report, Keul, who alleged that Trump grabbed her from behind and forcibly raped her, said that as a result of the assault she had bruises and bleeding in various parts of her body.
Keul alleged that after the incident, Trump pressured her to stay silent and repeated his earlier promises of a visa and university admission.
These accounts constitute the allegations contained in the report prepared by Democratic committee staff. There is no criminal case brought against Trump or conviction decision issued regarding the allegations.
"PRESSURE WAS APPLIED FOR HER TO STAY SILENT"
According to Keul's statements, after the assault she was asked not to tell anyone what she had experienced.
The report also stated that Keul argued she could not leave the organization immediately on the grounds that her passport had been seized.
It was conveyed that a few weeks after returning to Switzerland, she rejected an offer to participate in another beauty pageant held in Hawaii under Trump's sponsorship.
It also emerged that Keul had previously said in an interview she gave in 2024 that Trump tried to sexually assault her. While Keul said in that interview that the assault remained at the attempt stage, her statement in the new report includes a rape allegation.
The reason for the discrepancy between the two accounts was not explained in the report.
WHITE HOUSE DENIED THE ALLEGATIONS
After the allegations against Trump were reflected in the public, a statement came from the White House.
White House spokesperson Lauren Bis rejected the allegations, arguing that the report prepared by Democrats had a political purpose.
Bis said, "This 'report' is nothing more than a desperate attempt by radical Democrats to distract Americans from the rise of Republicans, who are gaining momentum from President Trump's historic achievements."
The White House also stated that Trump had in the past removed Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club and argued that the president did not commit any crime connected to Epstein.
Trump had also repeatedly denied the allegations against him regarding the Epstein file in the past.
THE REPORT INCLUDED ACCOUNTS OF 11 WOMEN
The 53-page report prepared by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee does not contain only Beatrice Keul's statements.
The report examined the accounts of 11 women in total and documents linked to these individuals.
Democratic members stated that five of the women accused Trump of rape or sexual assault in settings where Epstein was present or in events connected to him.
It was conveyed that some other women's statements included allegations that Epstein or his close associate Ghislaine Maxwell tried to arrange meetings between them and Trump.
Victim interviews, FBI records, and documents released to the public as part of the Epstein files were used in preparing the report.
The assessments in the report belong to the committee's Democratic members and do not constitute a joint committee decision accepted by the Republican majority.
A FIGURE IN TRUMP'S INNER CIRCLE IS ALSO IN THE REPORT
The report also included allegations about Paolo Zampolli, who had been in Trump's inner circle for many years and was active in the modeling industry.
Democratic members stated that Zampolli played a role in the processes of bringing young models to the US and handling visa procedures in the 1990s.
The report alleged that Zampolli may be connected to Epstein's sexual abuse and human trafficking activities involving young women.
In assessments based on FBI records, the report included the allegation that an 18-year-old model whose visa procedures Zampolli helped with was later sexually assaulted by Epstein.
It was conveyed that in a separate lawsuit filed against Zampolli by model Victoria Drake, there were also allegations that she was drugged and sexually assaulted.
COVER-UP ALLEGATION AGAINST THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT
In the Democrats' report, the US Justice Department's approach to the Epstein files was also criticized.
The report alleged that some investigations were halted and certain documents were hidden from the public.
Democratic members argued that evidence regarding people who may have been involved in Epstein's crimes was not sufficiently investigated.
It was also alleged that Attorney General Todd Blanche prevented discussion of a victim said to be connected to Trump during a meeting with Ghislaine Maxwell in July 2025.
The report stated that this attitude should be examined in terms of witness tampering and obstruction of justice.
The allegations in question have also not yet been confirmed by a court ruling.
CALL FOR AN INDEPENDENT SPECIAL PROSECUTOR
Jamie Raskin, a Maryland representative and senior Democratic member of the House Judiciary Committee, called for an independent investigation after the report was released.
Raskin asked that Epstein's possible accomplices and the Justice Department's handling of the file be investigated by an independent special prosecutor.
Raskin said, “An independent special prosecutor should investigate Epstein's accomplices and the Justice Department's cover-up attempt and ensure that state and foreign prosecutors have the evidence they need to deliver justice.”
The Democratic lawmaker argued that the statements of Epstein's victims should be taken into account and the relevant documents should be examined thoroughly.
RELEASED DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTIONS
The report containing new allegations against Trump was published eight days before the midterm elections to be held in the US on November 3, 2026.
The report, released before the elections that will determine control of the House of Representatives, sparked a new debate between Democrats and Republicans.
While Democrats called for a more comprehensive investigation into the Epstein files, the White House argued that the report was prepared for political purposes before the election.
It has not yet been clarified whether an independent investigation will be conducted to assess the allegations in the report from a legal perspective.
WHAT IS THE JEFFREY EPSTEIN CASE?
American financier Jeffrey Epstein was at the center of investigations for many years due to allegations related to sexual abuse of underage girls and human trafficking.
In 2008, Epstein received a prison sentence in Florida after entering into a controversial agreement under prostitution charges involving an underage girl.
In 2019, he was arrested again in New York on charges of sex trafficking of underage girls.
That same year, Epstein was found dead in the prison where he was being held. His death was officially recorded as suicide.
Flight logs, contact information, and other documents that emerged during the investigation showed that Epstein was connected to many well-known figures from politics, business, and the entertainment industry.
However, the appearance of a person's name in these records does not by itself mean that they committed a crime.
Epstein's close associate Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty of helping to abuse underage girls.
New documents and victim statements related to the Epstein files continue to be at the center of political and legal debates in the US.
