According to information obtained, a dispute broke out between Atilla Ş. and his elder brother Özcan Ş., who lived in the same building, due to noise during renovation. During a search of the suspect's home, it was learned that 1 pump-action shotgun, 1 blank-firing pistol, 1 pistol, 7 shotgun magazines, 167 shotgun cartridges, and 34 pistol bullets were seized. During a search of Atilla Ş.'s home, no criminal elements were found. It was learned that Atilla Ş. had 12 police records, primarily for 'intentional injury' and 'using drugs'; Özcan Ş. had 2 records for 'intentional injury' and 'insult'; and Hamza Ş. had 1 police record for 'intentional injury'. Atilla Ş. and Agah Sırrı Ş., who were referred to the courthouse after treatment, were arrested by the court they were brought before and sent to prison.

It was learned that the arrested Agah Sırrı Ş. said in his statement, 'On the day of the incident, my uncle İsa Ş. called me and told me that my father had been stabbed and that I should stay calm and come home. Afterwards I went home immediately. When I went in front of the building, I saw my father wounded and covered in blood. My elder brother Hamza Ş. was also in front of the building; he had not yet been injured. I learned that my uncle Atilla had stabbed my father. Since I knew that the person named Atilla constantly carried weapons and knives, for both my own safety and my family's safety, I took my licensed shotgun from my room in our house and came to the front of the building. Meanwhile, my elder brother Hamza Ş. entered the building. Atilla was on the stairs. I started pulling my elder brother by the arm in order to get him outside. When Atilla saw the shotgun in my hand, he tried to attack me by swinging the knife. At that moment my elder brother stepped between us. While Atilla was trying to attack me, he stabbed my elder brother Hamza in the chest. When I saw that my elder brother had been stabbed, I fired 1 shot at the wall with the shotgun in my hand to deter him. During this, I got my elder brother Hamza out of the building. When Atilla started coming down again and I saw Atilla coming, I fired 1 more shot at the wall with my shotgun,'

HE PUT HIS HEAD OUT OF THE WINDOW AND SMILED

In the continuation of his statement, Agah Sırrı Ş. said, 'After that, when he tried to come down the stairs again, I fired 2 shots from my shotgun at Atilla's apartment door. After that, since I had already fired warning shots, I went out of the building. Some time later, because Atilla had gone into his home and I thought he would not come out, I went outside to attend to my elder brother. While I was attending to my elder brother, Atilla stuck his head out of the window and smiled at us. Suspecting that it might be a weapon, I fired 3 shots from my shotgun toward the right and left windows of his apartment without targeting Atilla. After that, I left my shotgun at home and we began waiting for the ambulance. My elder brother was taken to hospital by the arriving ambulance. I also went to the hospital with my father. When I fired my shotgun on the stairs, I did not see Atilla being injured by the shotgun. I did not see any blood stain on him or any knife wound. I do not know how Atilla was injured. I witnessed the moment Atilla stabbed my elder brother Hamza; I was there too,' he stated.

IT STARTED WHILE THE TOILET STONE WAS BEING BROKEN

It was learned that Özcan Ş., who was injured in the attack, said in his statement, 'I found a craftsman to carry out the renovations of the empty apartment belonging to my father in this building. When I spoke with the craftsman Ahmet I found, he told me that he would leave work around 19:00 and come after 19:00. Afterwards, I picked up the craftsman and on the day of the incident we went to the address in Seyrantepe Neighborhood. Craftsman Ahmet began breaking the Turkish-style toilet stone in the bathroom and naturally there was noise. Some time later, my own brother Atilla Ş. came to the apartment and asked what the noises were and what we were doing. I told Atilla the situation as it was. I told him that since Craftsman Ahmet left work late, we could carry out renovation at this hour, that this apartment was our father's apartment, and as a result I asked why he himself was disturbed rather than the neighbors. When I said these things to Atilla, he suddenly walked toward me. I pushed him so that Atilla would get away from me. Afterwards I turned my back. Atilla hit me with his hand from behind and began pulling me. Then I turned my face and saw a knife in Atilla's hand. Atilla swung the knife toward my neck; I threw myself backward and protected myself. Meanwhile, Craftsman Ahmet, who was with us, was trying to get between Atilla and me. Atilla took advantage of the confusion, plunged the knife under my left arm, and pulled it back. When I realized I had been stabbed, I ran out of the apartment with all my strength. I left Craftsman Ahmet and Atilla in the apartment. I went downstairs and told my brother İsa Ş. that Atilla had stabbed me. Afterwards, suddenly people began gathering in front of the building; those who heard the incident and the noises came. Some time later, my son Hamza Ş. arrived at the scene. Hamza went up to the apartment to learn about the incident and talk to Atilla. Meanwhile, I was at the building entrance in an injured state. I was tending to my bleeding wound. Some time later, when I saw my son Hamza injured on the ground outside, I learned that he had been stabbed,'

In the continuation of his statement, Özcan Ş. said, 'Some time after Hamza was stabbed, my other son Agah Sırrı Ş. arrived at the scene. I heard him shouting at his uncle. I heard him shout at Atilla, asking whether he was going to kill us. While I was injured, I heard the sound of several gunshots. I do not clearly remember the events after we went downstairs by my own means. I did not witness the moment my brother Atilla was injured or the moment my brother Atilla stabbed my son Hamza. I do not remember whether I went to the hospital by ambulance or was taken by nearby citizens. I had no knife or weapon in my hand during the events. My brother Atilla is a drug addict. Most of the time he is under the influence of alcohol and drugs. During the events, Atilla was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs; he was conscious,' he said.
