Retired Admiral Turker Erturk, who was detained within the scope of an investigation initiated based on statements in video content shared on his social media account, was referred to the court with a request for arrest following his procedures at the prosecutor's office. An arrest decision was issued for Erturk on charges of 'threatening to create fear and panic among the public' and 'incitement to commit a crime'.

EX OFFICIO INVESTIGATION BY THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an ex officio investigation regarding certain statements in the video contents published on Ertürk's social media account.
ARRESTED
Ertürk, who was detained within the scope of the investigation, was sent to the criminal court of peace with a request for arrest after his procedures at the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office were completed. As a result of the evaluation made by the criminal court of peace, an arrest decision was issued for Türker Ertürk.
WHAT HAD HE SAID?
The investigation conducted by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office cited the following statements in the videos shared by Ertürk on his social media account as justification: "Look, the government will change now. But whether with pain or without pain, the government will change. That's why everyone should pull themselves together. You too, me too... Of course, everyone... That's why we expect the Supreme Election Council to make decisions according to their consciences and the law. Otherwise, I think we will face difficulties as a country in the future."
