Veteran journalist Reha Muhtar, who passed away at the age of 66 due to heart failure in Bodrum, was bid farewell in Istanbul. Famous presenter Saba Tümer, who attended the funeral, drew attention to the low turnout and harshly criticized the art and media community. Tümer, stating that Muhtar had made many names famous and provided them with livelihoods, expressed great surprise at seeing only Seren Serengil at the ceremony and strongly condemned the ingratitude.
Reha Muhtar, a legendary news anchor of Turkish press and television history who passed away at the age of 66 due to heart failure in a hospital in Bodrum, Muğla, was laid to rest in a ceremony held in Istanbul. Famous presenter Saba Tümer, who attended the funeral, drew attention to the low turnout, fiercely criticizing the art and media community. Tümer, accusing those who became known and entered the industry thanks to Reha Muhtar of ingratitude, made striking statements.
"SEEING THIS ATMOSPHERE MADE ME EVEN SADDER"
Speaking to press members at the funeral ceremony and visibly very upset, Saba Tümer lamented the sparse crowd, using these words:
"Seeing this atmosphere made me even sadder. Many more people should have come. I understood once again what loyalty means. Reha Muhtar was the one who made many artists in this country famous. I worked with Mr. Reha back in the day. I haven't seen even one of them."

Stating that many figures in the industry owe a debt of gratitude to Reha Muhtar but did not attend the funeral, Tümer continued:
"Only Seren Serengil came; despite having had difficult times with her from time to time, she still came. I was surprised and very saddened. I also went through tough periods while working with him, but I am here. I earned my bread thanks to him. They became famous thanks to him."
