In Istanbul’s Sarıyer district, 19-year-old Yusuf Muhammet Aslan, whose older brother filed a missing person report on September 29, was found dead in a wooded area 8 days later. Aslan’s body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue to determine the exact cause of death, and the prosecutor’s office launched an investigation. The last footage of Aslan shopping at a market has also emerged.
In Sarıyer, 19-year-old Yusuf Muhammet Aslan had not been heard from since September 29. The lifeless body of the young man, who was being searched for as missing, was found in a wooded area.
FOUND IN WOODED AREA
In Daruşşafaka Neighborhood, on Wednesday, October 7, around 11:00, a report was made after a person was seen lying motionless in a wooded area. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. During the medical teams' examination, it was determined that the person had died.
Ömer Faruk A. (20), who came to the scene, said that the deceased person was his brother Yusuf Muhammet Aslan.
HAD BEEN MISSING FOR 8 DAYS
In his statement to the police, Ömer Faruk A. stated that he filed a missing person report for his brother on September 29. It was learned that Aslan was found dead 8 days after the missing person report.
BODY TAKEN TO FORENSIC MEDICINE INSTITUTE
Crime scene investigation teams and the public prosecutor conducted an examination in the wooded area and on the body. Aslan's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue to determine the exact cause of death.
HIS LAST FOOTAGE SURFACED
Aslan's last footage also surfaced. The footage shows Aslan entering a market and leaving the market after shopping.
The prosecutor's office launched an investigation into the death.
