WIFE FILED A COMPLAINT
According to information obtained, Sadullah Yilmaz was taken into custody at his home yesterday following the incident. It was learned that the woman he is married to obtained a medical report of battery and filed a complaint against Yilmaz.
After the completion of his procedures at the police station, Yilmaz was referred to the courthouse, where the prosecutor's office requested his arrest. The court ruled for Yilmaz's arrest on charges of "intentional injury against a spouse." Following his procedures, Yilmaz was sent to prison.
STATEMENT FROM THE NEW WELFARE PARTY
Meanwhile, the New Welfare Party's Idil District Directorate issued a written statement following the news about Yilmaz in the press and on social media.
In the party's statement, it was claimed that an "isolated argument" occurred between the parties during a relative visit that Yilmaz also attended. The statement also noted that there is no final conviction against Yilmaz and emphasized that the legal process should be evaluated within the framework of the presumption of innocence.
The party administration urged the public not to give credit to unconfirmed information and social media posts, while stating that it would follow the legal process.

Sadullah Yilmaz was re-elected as district chairman in the election where he ran as the sole candidate at the New Welfare Party's Idil District Congress held in 2025.
