Saudi Arabia announced that Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen fired 2 ballistic missiles at the Mecca and Medina regions, that the missiles were intercepted but that shrapnel fell on residential areas. The Houthis, while rejecting this attack claim, alleged that the Riyadh administration carried out 100 airstrikes on Yemen in the last 24 hours. The Houthis also claimed that they carried out 7 separate attacks targeting airports and oil facilities in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia announced that Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen carried out attacks with ballistic missiles on the regions of Makkah al-Mukarramah and Madinah al-Munawwarah.

In a statement from the General Directorate of Civil Defense of Saudi Arabia, it was noted that the 2 ballistic missiles were successfully intercepted, while shrapnel fell on the Wadi Muqammas area in Makkah, the Nuzha neighborhood in the city of Jeddah, the Jalil Valley in the city of Taif, and the center of Masturah village affiliated with Rabigh province.

HOUTHIS REJECTED

Houthi Military Spokesman Yahya Saree rejected the statement in question coming from the Riyadh front.

Saree claimed that Saudi Arabia carried out 100 airstrikes in the last 24 hours on Yemen's capital Sanaa and civilian settlements in other areas.

Saree, who claimed that dozens of people were killed and wounded in the attacks, stated that the total number of air and missile attacks carried out by Saudi Arabia since the beginning of its attacks on Yemen has reached 3,123.

“WE CARRIED OUT 7 ATTACKS ON AIRPORTS AND OIL FACILITIES”

Spokesman Saree stated that in response to these attacks, they also carried out 7 attacks on various targets in Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles and UAVs.

Saree, who reported that in the first of the attacks in question, King Khalid Airport in Riyadh was targeted in two stages, claimed that the second attack was carried out on a facility belonging to the national oil company Saudi Aramco in the city of Yanbu, and the third attack was carried out on the Rabigh Oil Refinery.

Saree claimed that in the fourth attack, crude oil pumping stations and the pipeline transporting oil from the east to the west of the country were targeted.

Saree, who claimed that in the fifth attack they targeted King Fahd International Airport in the city of Dammam and that air traffic at the airport stopped due to the attack, noted that in the sixth attack Najran Airport was targeted, and in the seventh attack the air base in Khamis Mushait was targeted.

Saree, arguing that the attacks hit their targets, threatened that they would continue the attacks until Saudi Arabia ends its attacks on Yemen and the blockade imposed on Yemen is lifted.
