Saudi Arabia has issued a strong reaction to Israel's operations in Lebanon! The Riyadh administration has conveyed an official protest note to Washington, arguing that Netanyahu aims to expand the war to the Gulf and disrupt the US-Iran reconciliation.
It was reported that Saudi Arabia gave a protest note to the United States over Israel's attacks in Lebanon.
According to Israeli state television KAN, Saudi Arabia expressed its discomfort with Israel's attacks in Lebanon through diplomatic channels to the administration of US President Donald Trump, issuing a protest note.
"CHAOTIC AND UNPLANNED"
The report stated that Saudi Arabia, believing Israel's aggression in Lebanon to be chaotic and unplanned, also assessed that Israel has no clear plan for managing the attacks.
It was also stated that Riyadh suspects Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's efforts to expand attacks in Lebanon aim to reignite war in the Gulf and sabotage the emerging reconciliation between the US and Iran.
The Riyadh administration, which is said to be concerned that the internal situation in Lebanon may spiral out of control, has reportedly recently strengthened its relations with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, a Shia ally of Hezbollah.
The Saudi administration is alleged to want to weaken Hezbollah's power and strengthen the Lebanese state.
ISRAEL'S ATTACKS ON LEBANON AND CEASEFIRE
The Israeli army launched intense airstrikes on Lebanon on March 2, occupying many towns in the south of the country.
During this period, the Lebanese government announced that the number of displaced people in the country exceeded 1 million.
US President Donald Trump announced on April 24 that the 10-day temporary ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which took effect on April 17, had been extended for another 3 weeks.
As a result of the third round of talks between Lebanon and Israel, mediated by the US on May 14-15, it was decided to extend the ceasefire for 45 days as of May 17.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported in its latest statement that 3,666 people have lost their lives in Israeli attacks on the country since March 2.
The US State Department announced on June 3, following the fourth round of talks in Washington, that Israel and Lebanon had agreed on a "comprehensive ceasefire" on the condition that Hezbollah completely cease its attacks and withdraw all its elements south of the Litani River. Hezbollah announced that it rejected the conditional ceasefire.
Despite the announced ceasefire agreements, the Israeli army is expanding the scope of its attacks in southern Lebanon.
