In England, 30-year-old physical education teacher Bronwen James appeared before a judge accused of having a sexual relationship with her 16-year-old student. The prosecution alleged that the two secretly communicated via Snapchat and met up, engaging in sexual intercourse at the teacher's home while watching Wimbledon matches. James denied the charges.

Bronwen James, a 30-year-old physical education teacher at Bitterne Park School in Southampton, England, is on trial for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with her 16-year-old student.

According to the prosecution in court, communication between James and the student began when the teen asked for his teacher's Snapchat account. It was stated that James initially refused the request but later added her student to the app.

THE CONTENT OF THE MESSAGES CHANGED

Prosecutor Edward Culver alleged that the exchanges between the two became flirtatious over time. According to the prosecution, James and the student then began meeting secretly. It was claimed that the pair went to Weston Shore, where they kissed inside a car.

The prosecution also alleged that the teacher told the student she loved him and wanted to move elsewhere together.

ALLEGATION OF HAVING SEX WHILE WATCHING WIMBLEDON

One of the striking details in the case concerned the alleged time of the incident. The prosecution claimed that James and her student watched the Wimbledon tennis tournament at the teacher's home, after which they became intimate. It was alleged that the pair then had unprotected sexual intercourse.

The student also claimed that during their time alone, James asked him to call her "Miss".

"I NOW REALIZE YOU MANIPULATED ME"

The student stated that he initially viewed their relationship as "good," but later believed his teacher had manipulated him.

James, however, denied the charges against her and submitted a written statement to the court.

JURY DISMISSED

An unexpected development occurred in the case on Wednesday. The current jury panel was dismissed, and it was decided that the trial would continue on Thursday with a new jury.
