Stating that he would meet with the young goalkeeper, Yalçın said, "Of course he will come, why wouldn't he? There won't be a problem. Sergen Yalçın, who reached an agreement with the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) and became the new head coach of the Turkish National Team, made statements on the Kafa Sports YouTube channel. The experienced coach gave important messages regarding the future of goalkeeper Berke Özer, who had stayed away from the national team due to problems during the Vincenzo Montella era.

Yalçın, stating that he does not see a major obstacle to Berke Özer rejoining the national team squad, said that the problems experienced in the past can be solved.
The experienced coach said, "There were some problems regarding Berke Özer before, but these are not things that cannot be solved. They are young kids; they can make mistakes. I don't think it will be very difficult."
