In the 2027 budget proposal, the increase of the minimum wage tax exemption support by 33.7 percent to 1 trillion 460 billion TL has brought to the agenda a possible raise scenario in which the net minimum wage could rise to 37,536 TL.
The tax exemption support included in the budget proposal regarding the 2027 minimum wage increase has brought a striking calculation for the new salary to the agenda. While the support for employees is envisaged to be increased by 33.7 percent to 1 trillion 460 billion TL, if the same rate of increase is applied, the net minimum wage is expected to rise to 37,536 TL.
MINIMUM WAGE SCENARIO EXCEEDING 37 THOUSAND TL
If a 33.7 percent increase is made to the minimum wage, which was applied as a net 28,075 TL in 2026, the amount employees will receive will reach 37,536.94 TL. In this scenario, there will be an increase of approximately 9,461 TL in the net salary. According to the calculation, the gross minimum wage will rise to 44,161.11 TL, and the employer's total monthly cost will rise to 54,649.38 TL.
RESOURCES IN THE BUDGET ARE INCREASED BY 33.7 PERCENT
In the 2027 budget proposal, it is planned to allocate 1 trillion 460 billion TL of resources for the minimum wage tax exemption. Compared with the approximately 1 trillion 92 billion TL envisaged for the same item in the 2026 budget proposal, a 33.7 percent increase in resources is calculated.
NOT A FINALIZED DECISION, BUT A POSSIBLE INCREASE SCENARIO
However, it is emphasized that the increase in tax exemption support does not mean that the minimum wage will be increased at the same rate. The 33.7 percent increase is not a finalized decision regarding the 2027 minimum wage, but is considered one of the possible increase scenarios.
