Akın was hit by 3 bullets, 2 in his left foot and 1 in his right foot. Following the attack, Akın was hospitalized for treatment. Of the 6 suspects detained in connection with the attack, 5 were arrested and sent to prison. It was learned that those arrested in the investigation included O.D. (19), who had a criminal record for stealing the motorcycle's license plate and carried out the attack, O.M. (23), who was riding the motorcycle, and I.T. (23), E.Ü. (26), and M.A. (23), who acted together with the suspects.
