In Sultangazi, 63-year-old Raghda Alikaj, a Syrian national, lost her life after being hit by a light commercial vehicle while trying to cross the road. The driver was taken to the police station for questioning.
A woman trying to cross the road in Sultangazi lost her life after being hit by a light commercial vehicle. In the 50th Year Neighborhood on Old Edirne Asphalt Street, the light commercial vehicle with license plate 34 LY 9841, driven by Yunus T., heading towards Bayrampaşa, struck Raghda Alikaj (63), a Syrian national, who was trying to cross the road.
DRIVER TAKEN TO POLICE STATION FOR STATEMENT
Health teams dispatched to the accident site upon notification determined that Alikaj had lost her life. The woman's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue, and the driver, Yunus T., was taken to the police station to give his statement.
Traffic, provided in a controlled manner on a single lane, returned to normal after the involved vehicle was removed.
