Katırcı, demanding that her ex-husband receive the necessary punishment, said, "I want a guarantee that he will never get out of there again. My children would have been left without a mother."
SHE HAD ASKED FOR HELP MANY TIMES The incident occurred in the Serinevler neighborhood of the central Yüreğir district. According to the allegations, Arif T., her ex-husband to whom she was married for 25 years and from whom she divorced about 10 years ago, came to Ayşe Katırcı's home. The suspect, attacking Katırcı with a knife in his hand, stabbed the woman 8 times. While Katırcı was seriously injured, the suspect fled the scene. Upon the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the area. Katırcı, who received initial intervention at the scene, was taken to Balcalı Hospital by ambulance. After her intensive care treatment was completed, Katırcı overcame the life-threatening condition and was transferred to a ward a week later.

"I AM BEDRIDDEN BECAUSE OF THIS MURDERER" Katırcı, expressing her fear that the person might get out of prison and attempt to kill her again, used the following statements: "My psychology is shattered. I want a guarantee that he will never get out of there again. My children would have been left without a mother. I am bedridden because of this murderer. I have suffered every kind of pain for ten days, and my pain continues. I want him to receive whatever punishment is necessary."

He also beat me while I was pregnant. When he drank alcohol, he would unconsciously hit me with whatever he could get his hands on. Throughout our marriage, I walked around with a black eye. I didn't file complaints back then, but now I file complaints constantly. He makes my life a living hell. He had sent me a burial shroud before. Now he threatens me by saying, 'I will buy you a grave.' He comes and pulls a gun, pulls a knife. I constantly receive threats. He calls my friends and slanders me by saying, 'She is going down a bad path.' He constantly applies psychological pressure. He says, 'I will make it so you can't leave the house.' Maybe he will throw acid on my face; I don't know what he will do."
