It was claimed that the US disregarded former intelligence reports regarding the February attack on an elementary school in Minab, Iran, which killed 168 children. CNN sources reported that senior commanders failed to take database warnings into account, and the error was only noticed after the attack.

It has been claimed that the US ignored intelligence reports regarding the attack on an elementary school in Minab, southeastern Iran, in February, which killed 168 children.

"DATABASE INFORMATION NOT TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT"

According to CNN's report based on three sources close to the matter, senior commanders in the US military did not consider database information indicating that intelligence on targets in Iran was quite outdated.

Messages exchanged between intelligence and military officials included a review of targets based on intelligence from years earlier.

"THEY REALIZED THE ERROR DAYS AFTER THE ATTACK"

One of the sources said of the US military officials: "They realized within days after the attack what a mistake they had made."

WHAT HAPPENED?

In the early hours of the war that began with the US-Israel attacks on Iran on February 28, a girls' elementary school in Minab, Hormozgan, was targeted. It was reported that more than 180 people, including 168 children, lost their lives in the attack. It was revealed that the attack was carried out by the US and the school was struck twice within 40 minutes.
