In Bursa, 17 foreign nationals who introduced themselves as 'doctors' and provided illegal health services in their homes have been detained. It was determined that 10 of the suspects were working without authorization, while 7 performed examinations and procedures without being doctors, and ultrasound devices and dental units were seized from the illegal clinics.
Provincial Police Department teams determined that suspects, using fake diplomas and without any legal authority or permission, converted their residential addresses into illegal polyclinics, offering examination and treatment services for a fee through social media posts.
3-MONTH SURVEILLANCE
After 3 months of technical and physical surveillance, simultaneous operations were carried out at 9 separate addresses. Seven foreign national suspects who introduced themselves as 'doctors' despite not being doctors, and 10 suspects who had received training in the health field but practiced medicine without a work permit in Turkey were apprehended.
MEDICAL EQUIPMENT SEIZED IN THEIR HOMES
In searches conducted at the addresses of the suspects, identified to include 4 gynecologists, 4 dentists, 1 pediatrician, and 1 internist among them, an ultrasound device, dental unit, stretcher, laptop computer, and various medical equipment were seized. While information was obtained from 57 foreign nationals, including women and children, who came to the illegal clinics for treatment; following police procedures, 17 suspects were referred to the courthouse and released by the court under judicial supervision conditions.
