Church Pastor Lawrence Larbie stated, "There was a wake for an elderly member of our church during the attack. It was complete chaos. People knew the victims."

A close friend of the deceased mother said, "She was like a light in all our lives. She was a wonderful mother who was devoted to her children and worked tirelessly for them. She didn't deserve such an end."
