The President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, will visit Turkey for the first time on September 4th. President Erdogan will welcome his guest with an official ceremony at Beştepe. The two leaders will then preside over the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting. THE AGENDA WILL BE GAZAThe discussions will focus on stopping Israel's attacks, achieving a ceasefire in the region, and taking joint steps towards holding the Netanyahu government accountable. Regional issues such as Palestine, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, and others will be addressed in order to establish lasting stability, peace, and tranquility. The new target for the trade volume between the two countries, which has reached 10 billion dollars, is 15 billion dollars. Steps to achieve this target will be discussed. It is expected that Sisi will be accompanied by business figures during his visit to Turkey. HEALTH, TOURISM, AND DEFENSE INDUSTRYCooperation in energy, including LNG, renewable energy, mining, as well as health, tourism, and defense industry will be on the agenda. The Yunus Emre Institute in Cairo has 20,000 students. Efforts to enhance cooperation between universities, media, and communication between the two countries will be discussed.
