With the cold wave that was effective across Turkey in May, snow fell in many regions, and the Ödemiş district of İzmir was also covered in white.
Following temperatures below seasonal norms, snowfall that began in higher elevations created scenes in Izmir reminiscent of winter months.
SALTING AND SNOW PLOWING WORK ON THE ROADS
After the snowfall affecting Bozdağ and surrounding neighborhoods within the Ödemiş district, icing occurred on the roads. To prevent any disruption in transportation, municipal teams dispatched to the region accelerated salting and snow plowing operations on the roads.
The teams' efforts to keep the routes open for traffic continue uninterrupted.
