Speaking after the 'Terror-Free Turkey' law was approved in Parliament with 468 votes, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş said, 'May it be auspicious. The commission work we started last year had opened the doors to the 'Terror-Free Turkey' efforts. Today, these doors have been fully opened.' Kurtulmuş stated, 'We will build the new era together.'

The law proposal prepared within the scope of the "Terror-Free Turkey" process, regarding the Strengthening of National Solidarity and Social Cohesion, was accepted at the Turkish Grand National Assembly General Assembly and became law.

FIRST STATEMENT FROM KURTULMUŞ: THIS IS A HISTORIC SUCCESS

The regulation, whose discussions in the General Assembly lasted about 12 hours, was accepted with 468 "accept" votes, 88 "reject" votes, and 6 "abstention" votes, and became law.

After the law was accepted, Speaker of the Parliament Numan Kurtulmuş made a statement regarding the 468 accept votes, saying, "This is a very rare occurrence. Even in constitutional votes, such a consensus does not emerge. This is a historic success."

"WE WILL BUILD A NEW ERA TOGETHER"

Kurtulmuş said: "With the result achieved here today, this door has been opened. We will build a new era together. We extend our gratitude to those who contributed to the process. Our President has contributed greatly to the process. We have reached this point with the suggestions of Mr. Bahçeli. We thank our 52 fellow deputies and political parties. The goal of a Terror-Free Turkey is the construction of a Turkey model. We hear criticisms that exceed their purpose, such as 'The parliament no longer has any influence.'

We will follow the subsequent process together. We know that the media has also had an impact in this process. Even in constitutional votes, such a high consensus does not emerge. This is a historic success. Turkey has the power to solve even its most difficult issue through alliance. From now on, the process will operate smoothly."
