It was reported that a judicial and administrative investigation has been launched regarding students at the Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK) Girls' Student Dormitory in the Sungurlu district of Çorum who applied to the hospital with complaints of diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
STUDENTS IN THE DORMITORY BECAME ILL AFTER MEAL
In a written statement from the Çorum Governorate, it was stated that students who consumed dinner at the dormitory yesterday applied to Sungurlu State Hospital starting at 08:10 today with complaints of nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
77 STUDENTS APPLIED TO THE HOSPITAL
The statement noted that as of 17:30, a total of 77 students had applied to the hospital, with 35 discharged after treatment, while the health condition of the remaining students is good and there is no life-threatening risk.
Emphasizing that the necessary investigations regarding the incident have been initiated by the relevant institutions, the statement included the following expressions:
"In relation to the issue, necessary investigations have been initiated by the Sungurlu District Health Directorate, and water samples have been taken. Additionally, food samples have been collected by the Sungurlu District Agriculture Directorate and delivered to the Çorum Provincial Food Control Laboratory Directorate for analysis. The process is being closely monitored by our relevant institutions, and a judicial investigation has been initiated by the Sungurlu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, as well as an administrative investigation by our Governorate."
