An individual of African origin in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul was allegedly quarantined in an ambulance due to showing symptoms of monkeypox virus. The incident caused a great stir on social media.

In a statement from the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate, it was stated that it was determined that the person taken to the hospital did not have monkeypox disease.
