The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues to reveal companies that endanger public health by committing food fraud one by one. The ministry has updated the list of foods that have been counterfeited and may pose a health risk. Recent findings included products such as olive oil, sumac, kebab, butter, oregano, and red pepper flakes that contain health-threatening and counterfeit substances. WHAT HAVE THEY DONEFood coloring was found in sumac, foreign substances in oregano, offal (heart) in pide filling, poultry meat in minced beef, offal (gizzard) in minced pastry filling, poultry meat in raw Adana kebab, and food coloring in red pepper flakes. With the latest update, many products were added to the list, and the producers were also disclosed. 4 CITIES STOOD OUTIt was observed that Antalya, Aydın, Gaziantep, and Elazığ were predominantly featured in the list of food fraudsters published on "guvenilirgida.tarimorman.gov.tr". THEY FED CITIZENS HORSE AND DONKEY MEATIn previous lists, the most commonly fraudulently altered products included red meat, olive oil, lahmacun, and beef meatballs. It was noted that horse and donkey meat were mixed with red meat, gizzard was found in lahmacun, chicken meat in beef meatballs, and seed oils in olive oil.
