The Ministry of National Defense unveiled Turkey's first intercontinental ballistic missile, Yıldırımhan, at SAHA Expo. With a range of 6,000 kilometers, Turkey has ascended to a new league in strategic deterrence.
Türkiye made a historic announcement at the SAHA Expo, which brings together giants of the defense and aerospace industry. In an official statement by the Ministry of National Defense, Türkiye's first intercontinental ballistic missile, "Yıldırımhan," was introduced to the public. The system draws attention with its technical features.
According to information shared by the Ministry, Yıldırımhan can reach a range of 6,000 kilometers. It was stated that the missile can achieve speeds ranging from Mach 9 to Mach 25.
HIGH SPEED AND ENGINE POWER STAND OUT
It was stated that the system uses liquid nitrogen tetroxide as fuel and is propelled by four rocket engines. This structure allows the missile to reach hypersonic speeds.
CAPABILITY TO OVERCOME DEFENSE SYSTEMS
It was reported that Yıldırımhan has the capability to overcome existing air and missile defense systems thanks to its speed and maneuverability. These features were noted to enhance the system's operational effectiveness.

In the statement, it was emphasized that the system is considered an important element within the scope of modern war doctrines. It was stated that by reaching target areas with high speed and maneuverability, it limits early warning and interception capabilities.
