In the investigation conducted regarding the fate of the donations collected through the Ahbap Association following the February 6 earthquakes, the fifth wave of operations has begun. Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that simultaneous operations were carried out in 20 provinces centered on Istanbul for the apprehension of 53 suspects. Gürlek stated that 4.3 billion TL in donations were collected, 950 million TL was withdrawn in cash, and a total of 1 billion 757 million 547 thousand 770 TL was transferred to 29 companies and 7 sole proprietorships.
A 5th wave operation was carried out against the Ahbap Association. Following the operation, Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek also made a statement on the matter. In simultaneous operations conducted in 20 provinces centered on Istanbul, efforts were initiated to apprehend 53 suspects.
