In Konya, a law faculty student named Cihan Dinçer killed his mother Nazife Çiğdem Dinçer with approximately 20 stab wounds and his father Gökhan Dinçer with about 10 stab wounds. It was reported that Dinçer, found covered in blood in a park, told the police he killed his parents. The suspect, who was arrested, stated in his testimony, "In a moment of crisis, I took a knife from the kitchen and committed the act."

FOUND COVERED IN BLOOD IN THE PARK
The incident occurred in the Havzan neighborhood of Meram district. Upon a report from citizens who saw a person lying covered in blood in a park, police teams were dispatched to the area. The teams encountered Cihan Dinçer, whose clothes were bloody and who had minor cuts on his hand. It was reported that Dinçer told the police he had killed his mother and father.
DOUBLE MURDER DISCOVERED AT HOME
Police teams went to the house on Benekli Street based on the address given by Cihan Dinçer, and requested assistance from the fire department when the door was not opened. Entering the home with the intervention of fire crews, police found Nazife Çiğdem Dinçer, who worked as a veterinarian at the Konya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, and her husband Gökhan Dinçer, stabbed to death. The couple's bodies were taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy.

During the autopsy, it was determined that Nazife Çiğdem Dinçer had approximately 20 stab wounds, and Gökhan Dinçer had approximately 10 stab wounds. The veterinarian couple was laid to rest at Kurtuluş Cemetery.

After his processing at the police station, Cihan Dinçer was referred to the courthouse and arrested. It was learned that Dinçer told the court in his statement that he carried out the incident with a knife he took from the kitchen during a moment of crisis.
