NACI GÖRÜR'S WARNING CAME TO MIND
While the Simav district of Kütahya has drawn attention as an active area in terms of earthquakes in recent months, the warning made by Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür a month ago was recalled. Görür had warned the authorities, stating that the region was under stress.
After a 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred again in Simav on May 1, Görür pointed out on his social media account that the region was increasingly becoming tense, saying:
"Friends, a 4.3 earthquake occurred in Yemişli-Simav/Kütahya. The earthquake is near the Naşa Fault Zone. Similar earthquakes occurred here a few days ago. Authorities should be careful. The region is experiencing K-S tension."
