A forest fire broke out near the village of Karaardıç, located in the Göynük district of Bolu. The fire was brought under control with the intervention of 57 vehicles and 188 personnel.

FLAMES GREW RAPIDLY



As the flames grew rapidly, a large number of teams were dispatched to the area. The fire was intervened with 5 helicopters, 4 fire trucks, 8 first response vehicles, 7 water supply vehicles and tankers, 18 construction machines (11 water tankers, 1 grader, 1 bulldozer, 3 trailers, 2 excavators), 1 ambulance, 1 UMKE vehicle, 11 service vehicles, and 2 advance vehicles.



CONTROLLED



In addition to the teams from the Forest Regional Directorate, fire crews from Bolu Municipality and surrounding district municipalities, 112 Emergency Health personnel, gendarmerie, AFAD, Göynük Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, Provincial Special Administration, and volunteer teams also participated in the extinguishing efforts. After long efforts, the forest fire was brought under control.

Bolu Governor Abdülaziz Aydın, who made a statement on the matter, said, "Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our 188 personnel intervening with 57 vehicles from the air and ground, it has been brought under control, and cooling efforts are ongoing. We respectfully announce this to the public."
