Within the scope of the 573rd anniversary of the conquest of Istanbul, a light mapping show was held, projecting onto historical landmarks at various points in the city to depict the conquest of Istanbul. The programs, aimed at keeping the spirit of the conquest alive, preserving historical memory, and passing on the deep cultural heritage to future generations, carried the excitement of the conquest to different parts of the city through light shows.
As part of the events organized by the Istanbul Governorship for the 573rd anniversary of the conquest of Istanbul, striking shows were held in the evening hours.
MAPPING SHOWS AT VARIOUS POINTS OF THE CITY
In addition to the Governorship, a light mapping and photography show depicting the conquest of the city by Fatih Sultan Mehmet was held at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, the Turkish International Islamic, Science and Technology University buildings, the Yedikule Walls, and the Galata Tower.
During the programs aimed at keeping the spirit of the conquest alive, preserving historical memory, and passing on the deep-rooted cultural heritage to future generations, historic buildings and walls were decorated with Turkish flags.
Citizens who followed the shows with interest recorded these moments with their mobile phone cameras.
Local and foreign tourists took souvenir photos in front of the Galata Tower, where the light mapping and photography show was held.
