The third session of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Council in December was held at the municipality building in Saraçhane, chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Council, Nuri Aslan. In the Council, the request for internal borrowing of 3.5 billion lira by the Finance Department of the IMM for use in urban planning, environment, education, culture-art, health, sports, urban transformation, transportation, social services, and municipal services was discussed. The internal borrowing proposal was accepted unanimously. METRO ISTANBUL'S REQUEST FOR 500 MILLION TL BORROWINGAdditionally, the request for borrowing of 500 million lira by the General Directorate of Metro Istanbul to meet the financing needs of the company was discussed in the Council. In the commission's opinion in the report, it was deemed appropriate to grant authority for internal borrowing from domestic banks/participation banks, credit institutions, and other individuals and organizations to be used when needed by Metro Istanbul. The borrowing request was accepted unanimously.
