Five real estate properties registered under the name of fugitive Can Dündar have been identified. The monthly rental income of the property in Çengelköy is 95,000 lira, with renovation costs borne by the tenant. A rent increase lawsuit has been filed for the villa in Bodrum, and his mother resides in the properties in Ankara.
It was determined that the monthly rental income falling to Dündar's share for the property located in Çengelköy, Istanbul was 95 thousand liras, and that the necessary alteration and repair works were carried out by the tenant, with the expenses deducted from the rent amount.
5 PROPERTIES IDENTIFIED
Within the scope of the work carried out by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF), which was appointed as trustee for the management of fugitive Can Dündar's assets, 5 properties registered in Dündar's name were identified. Examinations revealed that the properties are located in Istanbul's Üsküdar, Muğla's Bodrum district, and Ankara.
It was ensured that the rental income falling to Dündar's share from the rented properties was deposited into the escrow bank account.
PROPERTIES IN ÜSKÜDAR, BODRUM, AND ANKARA
While the monthly rental income falling to Dündar's share for the property in Çengelköy, in Istanbul's Üsküdar district, was determined as 95 thousand liras, the necessary alteration and repair works regarding this property are carried out by the tenant, and the expenses are deducted from the rent amount.
For the villa in Muğla's Bodrum district, a legal process was initiated together with his wife, who is the other shareholder, in order to increase the rent amount.
It was determined that the two properties in Ankara were acquired through inheritance, that Dündar's mother resides in one of the properties, and that the rental income from the other was collected by his mother.
HE HAD BEEN SENTENCED FOR ESPIONAGE AND AIDING FETÖ
With the decision made by the Istanbul 14th Heavy Penal Court in 2020, Can Dündar was convicted of obtaining information that should remain confidential for the security or political interests of the state for political or military espionage purposes and aiding the FETÖ/PDY.
