Piacenti, who was stabbed in the abdomen, was taken to the hospital but could not be saved despite medical interventions. The other 68-year-old injured person was reported to be alive and receiving treatment at the hospital. Police stated that the attacks were random and carried out without any provocation.
ADVANCED ON POLICE WITH KNIVES
After the attack, police officers found Cisneros in Times Square with two knives. Despite calls from police officers for approximately 4 minutes to drop the knives, Cisneros did not relinquish her weapons.
The police's intervention with a stun gun also did not stop the woman. As Cisneros advanced on the officers, swinging the two knives, two police officers opened fire. Cisneros, who was shot, died.
