Three siblings, one of whom is disabled, were rescued after being forced to live in a chicken coop for seven years by their uncle and aunt in Ankara. It was revealed that a salary had been allocated to the aunt and uncle for taking care of the children, but the couple did not look after them. Additionally, it was learned that the aunt would bring the children into the house when guests arrived, but would throw them back into the coop when they left.

Disabled Adnan and his siblings, who were condemned to live in a chicken coop by their aunt and uncle in Ankara, were rescued after a video shared by a social media influencer brought the situation to light. It was revealed that the Syrian family had four children, and the aunt had thrown her three nephews, one of whom is disabled, into the coop with the pigeons and chickens.

After a local resident noticed the situation, he reported it to the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Ankara Governorship, and the social media influencer. A video of the influencer rescuing the children from the coop last night became a hot topic on social media. It was claimed that the aunt and uncle were receiving a salary to take care of the children, but the couple did not actually care for them.

"THEY TAKE THEM UPSTAIRS, THEN THROW THEM IN A PLACE LIKE THIS COOP AT NIGHT"

Volkan Altınışık, who reported the children left in the coop to the social media influencer and the ministry, stated that he learned about disabled Adnan and his two siblings being left in the coop on November 28. He mentioned that he also informed the governorship and the ministry, and he reported the situation to the social media influencer known as "Ankara Abisi." Altınışık said, "These children are sleeping here in a place like a coop. They have given a salary to the aunt, and she receives it regularly every month. I told them, 'This woman is not taking care of them. They are deceiving you by saying she is taking care of them; they take them upstairs, then throw them in a place like this coop at night.'

"SHE SAYS SHE WILL TAKE CARE OF THEM FOR MONEY, BUT SHE DOESN'T"

Altınışık shared that the neighborhood residents were helping the children, but they had just learned about the situation. "I was continuously following this issue. Now they are sleeping in the cold. I couldn't bear it anymore. I had nothing to do. I called Ankara Abisi. He immediately got involved; I sent the videos. They came right away. They had a ready-made house, and they placed them there. Then Social Services came yesterday. They took the children from there. Of course, they had to take them. Adnan needed care because he is disabled. The aunt already has four children. These are four siblings. A woman cannot take care of eight children, but she says she will take care of them for money, but she doesn't," he expressed.

"I HOPE THEY HAVE A WARM HOME"

Altınışık pointed out that not only Adnan was left in the coop, but also his other siblings were living there. "Now they have no mother, no father. The father has fled to Syria, and the mother has remarried here. I reported the situation. They have evaluated it; thank God every institution got involved and came. I hope they have a warm home. This is our only wish. It wasn't just Adnan who was left; there were Adnan's siblings," he said.

"THE CHILDREN HAVE BEEN LIVING HERE FOR SEVEN YEARS"

Altınışık explained that the family is of Syrian origin, saying, "The aunt was taking care of her own children upstairs, while these ones were left here. They were hungry. I was bringing food, bringing something. The children have been living here for seven years. I just came here; it has been a year. When the back side collapsed and this side opened, I started to see them from this side. If I had seen them earlier, I would have intervened sooner," he stated.

"WHEN WE CAME, SHE WAS TAKING THE CHILDREN INSIDE; WHEN WE LEFT, SHE WAS THROWING THEM OUT"

Another neighborhood resident, Suna Niga, said, "For three years, I have been bringing help to the children from here and there. But the aunt was not taking care of them. She was taking care of her own children, not dressing Adnan and the others. When we came, she was taking the children inside; when we left, she was throwing them out, that's how it was. They caught the aunt and uncle later, asking why they were throwing them out," she explained.
