THE MAYOR'S BODYGUARD SHOT THE PEOPLE HE ARGUED WITH

The incident occurred last night on Bankalar Street. Kamil Kasap, the bodyguard and nephew of Beypazarı Mayor Özer Kasap, argued with Serkan Damak and Murat Köksal, whom he encountered in the restaurant. The argument spilled out onto the street and turned into a fight. During the fight, Kamil Kasap fired at Serkan Damak and Murat Köksal with the gun he had on him. Murat Kasap was injured in the abdominal area, while Serkan Damak was injured in the leg.

PLACED UNDER HOUSE ARREST

Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to Bilkent City Hospital for treatment after initial interventions. Kamil Kasap was detained by the police. After his procedures, Kamil Kasap was brought to court and placed under house arrest.

RECORDED MOMENT BY MOMENT

Meanwhile, the incident was recorded by a mobile phone camera. The footage included the two injured people and the intervention of those around them. Former Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Melih Gökçek shared the footage on his social media account. Gökçek claimed that the argument arose because the promises made to Serkan Damak and Murat Köksal before the elections were not kept, and he also reacted to the decision to place Kamil Kasap under house arrest.
