A 12-year-old middle school student, R.B.D., who asked his teacher for pocket money because he was hungry at school in Manisa, was brutally beaten by his biological father, S.D., after he learned about the situation. The violence came to light when the young child took refuge with his estranged mother and the bruise marks on his body were noticed. Following the mother's complaint, the unfortunate child was taken from his biological father and placed under state protection, considering the financial hardships as well.

In the Yunusemre district of Manisa, a 5th-grade student R.B.D. (12), who asked his teacher for pocket money because he was hungry at school, was brutally beaten by his father S.D. (34) upon learning of the situation. After his mother Derya K. (32), from whom she lives separately, noticed the signs of beating on his body and filed a complaint, legal proceedings were initiated against the father, and the unfortunate child was taken under state protection and placed in a dormitory.

HUNGRY CHILD ASKED TEACHER FOR HELP

The incident occurred on May 21 in the Atatürk neighborhood of Yunusemre district. Middle school student R.B.D., when hungry at school and having no pocket money, asked his teacher for money. After the teacher informed father S.D. of the situation, the father, upon returning home that evening, flew into a rage and beat his own son with punches and slaps.

HORROR REVEALED WHEN HE FLED TO HIS MOTHER

The next day after the beating, R.B.D. took refuge with his mother Derya K., from whom she lives separately. The mother noticed the bruises and swelling on his body. The young child, who initially did not want to speak out of fear, confessed under his mother's insistence that he had been subjected to his father's violence. Mother Derya K. immediately took her son to Manisa City Hospital to obtain a medical report of the beating and filed a complaint against her ex-husband.

PLACED UNDER STATE PROTECTION DUE TO FINANCIAL HARDSHIP

Considering mother Derya K.'s statement that she could not care for both children due to financial difficulties and the father's tendency toward violence, R.B.D. was taken under protection by the Ministry of Family and Social Services.

Outraged by the events, mother Derya K. said, "My son asked his teacher for money because he was hungry. My ex-husband says he regrets it, but this regret does not change what happened. I trust justice; I want him to be punished."
