As the world is unsettled by the war, entering its 7th day, the toll is rising in Lebanon, which has been the target of Israeli attacks. Lebanon announced that the death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 123, while the number of injured has reached 683.
As the war between the USA, Israel, and Iran continues with full force, the impact of the conflicts is also intensifying on the Lebanese front. While the number of casualties and injuries from Israel's attacks on Lebanon is rapidly increasing, tens of thousands of people in the country have been forced to leave their homes.
CASUALTIES RISE TO 123
In a statement from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, updated data regarding Israel's attacks on Lebanon was shared. The statement reported that the number of people who lost their lives in the attacks since the morning of March 2nd has risen to 123, while the number of injured has reached 683.
TENS OF THOUSANDS DISPLACED
A written statement from the Disaster Management Unit affiliated with the Lebanese government indicated that a significant wave of migration has occurred in the country due to the attacks. According to the statement, approximately 96,000 people displaced due to the attacks have been placed in 441 temporary shelter centers opened across the country.
ISRAEL EXPANDS ATTACKS
In a statement made by the Israeli army on March 2nd, it was noted that sirens were activated in the northern part of the country after detecting missile launches from Lebanon. Following this development, the Israeli army announced that it had initiated airstrikes across Lebanon. In the attacks targeting the capital Beirut, intense bombardment was carried out from the air and sea.
The Israeli army also announced that it had decided to expand its operations in Lebanon, taking steps to increase its ground occupation.
