According to a statement from the union on social media, it was noted that during efforts to restart the electrical system, adverse weather conditions caused disruptions to the grid and affected the generating units in operation.
The country's national electrical system had completely gone offline at 10:43 PM local time on Sunday. A partial collapse on Saturday had led to power outages in the western provinces of the country.
