Haşmet, the crow that Serdar Hekim—who runs a white goods technical service in the Altınordu district of Ordu—rescued 1.5 years ago when he fell from a roof and was attacked by seagulls, has become the apprentice at his workplace. The crow, which hands screws to its master with its beak during repairs and sometimes hides the screws, is fed boiled eggs, hazelnuts, peanuts, and walnuts in return for its help.

In Ordu, the crow that Serdar Hekim, who runs a white goods technical service, found injured and adopted about 1.5 years ago helps its master by handing him screws during repairs, and in return it gets food.

Serdar Hekim, who runs a white goods technical service in Altınordu district, rescued the crow that fell from the roof of the building about 1.5 years ago, was injured, and was attacked by seagulls. Hekim, who wanted to release the bird into nature after treating it, decided to feed it at his workplace after the bird was attacked by seagulls and street cats.

Over time, the crow, which formed a friendship with Hekim, watches the repairs at the workplace and gives the screws its master asks for with its beak. Sometimes hiding the screws and making his work harder, the crow is fed boiled eggs, hazelnuts, peanuts, and walnuts in return for its help. The friendship Hekim established with the crow he feeds by hand also attracts the attention of those who come to the workplace.

SAVED IT FROM SEAGULLS AND CATS

Explaining that his friendship with the crow he named 'Haşmet' has continued for about 1.5 years, Serdar Hekim said, 'Haşmet fell from the roof of the building 1.5 years ago and seagulls attacked it. I saved it, then cats attacked and I saved it from them too. Our friendship has continued since that day. It does not leave here; it stays at the workplace at night. It continues its natural life and roams during the day; in the mornings it loves boiled eggs very much.'

ITS REWARD IS BOILED EGG AND HAZELNUTS

Stating that the crow sometimes makes his work harder while helping him, Hekim said, 'It helps me here, but it also causes harm. When I ask for a screw, it gives it; sometimes it hides it; after all, that is in its nature. Even if I want to leave it to its nature, it does not go. As long as it stays here, our friendship will remain. As long as it does not leave of its own will, Haşmet can continue to apprentice for me here. Its reward is boiled egg, hazelnuts, peanuts, and walnuts. Those who see it love it very much as well.'
