An investigation has been launched against Bennu Gerede on charges of 'obscenity' due to her statements in a broadcast she attended. Gerede, who was detained, was released by the court with a travel ban abroad after her procedures at the police station.
An investigation was launched by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against photographer Bennu Gerede on charges of 'obscenity' due to her displaying a necklace she wore around her neck, which she described as a 'vibrator', and making obscene remarks during a program broadcast on social media.
PROSECUTOR REQUESTED JUDICIAL CONTROL
Following the investigation, photographer Bennu Gerede was taken into custody. After the completion of procedures at the police station, she was referred to the courthouse, and following her statement to the prosecutor's office, she was brought before the criminal judgeship of peace with a request for judicial control measures.
RELEASED
Bennu Gerede was released under judicial control conditions, including a travel ban abroad.
