Notable details have emerged in the appointments under HSK's 2026 Main Decree. While the chief public prosecutors of 33 provinces changed, new commission heads were appointed to 27 cities. Additionally, for the first time, a criminal court chief public prosecutor was appointed to the districts of Besni and Suşehri, and a heavy penal court president was appointed for the first time to the courthouses of Serik, Ortaca, Suşehri, and Sandıklı.
The Council of Judges and Prosecutors published the 2026 Annual Principal Decree. Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) completed its work on the 2026 Annual Principal Decree for Judicial and Administrative Jurisdiction, wishing judges and prosecutors success in their new posts.

The decree included notable details. With the 2026 Annual Principal Decree, the Chief Public Prosecutor changed in 33 provinces, and the commission chair changed in 27 provinces.
160 APPOINTMENTS TO HEAVY PENAL COURTS
Appointments were made to 160 Heavy Penal Court Presidencies, 471 Regional Court of Appeals Judgeships, 80 Regional Court of Appeals Public Prosecutor Offices, 113 Regional Court of Appeals Department Presidencies, 12 Court of Cassation Examining Judgeships, and 15 Court of Cassation Public Prosecutor Offices.
It was stated that Istanbul Commercial Courts would be added to the Istanbul Courthouse and continue their activities as 30 courts under a single roof.
