In Kocaeli, the defendant who killed his wife with 8 stab wounds two days before his daughter's engagement accused his wife of betrayal in his statement. The murderer husband, claiming he found his friend's sweatshirt in the bedroom, said, 'She said the children were from someone else. We argued, I don't remember the rest. I lost control, I had a fit of madness, I regret it.'

The other day, my brother left home to drop his children off at school, and he was going to drink tea at the gazebo with his friends from the neighborhood. I had no idea my brother would go home. He might have reconciled and gone home because Ramazan apologized."

THE LETTER ALLEGEDLY WRITTEN THE DAY BEFORE THE INCIDENT

The plaintiff's attorney, Lawyer Eray Akbal, said, "There is a letter in the courtroom dated the day before the incident. The defendant planned the event. The incident occurred as soon as Binnur entered the house. The defendant is not providing information to conclude the matter, saying everything but claiming not to remember the moment of the incident. He is shaping his statement to benefit from unjust provocation reduction. The defendant constantly threatened his wife, saying, 'I will kill you, I will cut you.' Binnur had to go home because she was forced to."

"RAMAZAN WAS DIAGNOSED WITH SCHIZOPHRENIA"

The defendant's attorney, Lawyer Nazmi Küçükosmanoğlu, stated, "My client received treatment at Bakırköy Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Hospital for 57 days during the prison process and was diagnosed with schizophrenia. However, since no request was made by the court, no report was prepared. We believe the defendant does not have criminal capacity."

The court panel decided to request the report on the defendant's treatment from Bakırköy, to continue the detention, and to postpone the hearing.

THE WRITTEN LETTER WAS FOUND

In the letter, it was revealed that he wrote, "I wrote this on Monday, October 30, 2025. If something happens to me, let the correspondence between my wife Binnur Gökmen and those living a friendly life with her, Günay T., and those helping him, M. Y., Ali O. B., S. B., T. Ö., H. B. be examined. If you do a paternity test, you will understand. The reason I am writing these notes is that I will either be killed or they will set me up for drug possession and have me imprisoned. I found Güney T.'s tracksuit in my own bedroom among my belongings."
