The passenger bus, which was traveling from Diyarbakır to Istanbul, overturned and crossed to the opposite lane by toppling the steel barriers at the Yenice location of the TAG Highway in Mersin yesterday evening and collided with a truck and two cars. In the accident, 10 people lost their lives and 40 people, 9 of whom were in critical condition, were injured.

THE BUS DRIVER WAS ARRESTED
The driver of the passenger bus involved in the accident, Ali G, was discharged from the private hospital in Tarsus after his treatment. The suspect, who was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams, was arrested by the duty judge at the courthouse after the procedures.
"I DON'T KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED"
In his statement, the driver claimed that he was driving at a speed of 110 kilometers per hour and that the road was slippery due to rain. It was learned that the driver, who said that he suddenly lost control, said, "I don't know how the accident happened."
