Details of the defense submitted to the Appeals Board for Eren Elmalı, who received a 45-day ban from playing due to betting from the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee (PFDK) of Galatasaray, have been revealed.

The TFF, under the presidency of İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, is conducting the betting investigation based on information received from the Sports Toto Organization. The organization has requested information from legal betting companies in Turkey.

While two companies provided information regarding those who placed bets, one company provided partial information. No information was requested from one company as it is not active. The legal representatives of Galatasaray Club pointed out this situation in the defense made to the Arbitration Board for Eren Elmalı, who received a 45-day penalty for being involved in betting.

"A LIST SHOULD BE OBTAINED FROM ALL COMPANIES FOR FAIR TRIAL"

According to a report in Sözcü Newspaper, the yellow-reds believe that the referrals made by the TFF Legal Consultancy to the Disciplinary Board do not reflect a fair trial due to the confusion over the lists in the investigation. Galatasaray Club advocates that "lists should be obtained from all legal betting companies and shared transparently."

"UNTIL THE LISTS ARRIVE, PENALTIES SHOULD BE LIFTED"

Legal experts emphasized that transparent sharing would increase trust in justice, stating that "it would be appropriate to lift the 45-day penalties until the lists from all legal betting sites are presented," and requested the cancellation of Eren Elmalı's penalty. In response to the possibility of manipulation of the lists, Galatasaray Club also highlighted that official approval from the prosecutor's office is required for a person to be penalized by the PFDK.
