After security personnel did not allow him inside, Y.K. drew his gun from his waist and fired into the air, attempting to take the employees in the facility hostage. The security personnel who closed the doors reported the situation to the police.
HE POINTED A GUN AT THE POLICE AND PULLED THE TRIGGER
The police team that arrived at the scene called on the suspect to drop his weapon and surrender. In response, the suspect pointed his gun at the police and pulled the trigger. However, the gun jammed and did not fire. Meanwhile, one of the calm police officers engaged the suspect in conversation while the other circled around and knocked the weapon out of his hand. The suspect Y.K. was neutralized and taken into custody.
ALLEGATION THAT THE SUSPECT WAS THE FIRED TRAM DRIVER
After completing the procedures at the police station, the suspect Y.K. was arrested by the court on December 13 on charges of 'attempted murder' and sent to prison. It was claimed that the suspect Y.K. was fired while working as a tram driver in the İBB metro.
