Learning that the student had become unwell, Çamur pulled the bus over to a suitable point on the roadside and checked the student's condition. Asking the other passengers to clear the area around the student who had fallen ill, Çamur acted without wasting time when he realized the hospital was nearby. Changing his route without dropping off the passengers on the bus, Çamur drove the vehicle directly to the hospital's emergency department. Upon reaching the hospital, medical teams came to the bus with a stretcher and took charge of the student who had become unwell.

Public bus driver Kadir Çamur, describing what he experienced at the moment of the incident, said, "After picking up the children, I had turned toward the town center. They said one of their friends had fallen ill. The children were a little scared too. I immediately pulled the vehicle over to a suitable place and stopped and checked the student's condition. Since I knew the hospital was close, I set off toward the emergency department without wasting time. I was a little scared too. I told the children to clear the area around their friend and to help so that she could breathe comfortably. Then, without wasting any time, I drove the bus to the hospital's emergency department."
