During a nighttime alcohol checkpoint in Isparta, a foreign woman caught with a blood alcohol level of 1.31 promille found the 25,000 lira fine too low. Upon learning that her license would be suspended for 6 months and that using a vehicle during this period would result in a 200,000 lira penalty, she expressed her reaction with the words 'Oh my God,' creating amusing moments at the checkpoint.

Interesting moments occurred during routine alcohol checks carried out in Isparta late at night.

A foreign national female driver named Heba A., stopped by police teams at the checkpoint, was found to have 1.31 promille alcohol in her system during the inspection. While the teams imposed a 25,000 lira fine on the woman for drunk driving, the female driver asked the police officers how much the fine was as she signed the documents. After the police officer replied "25,000 lira," the female driver stated that she found the fine too low and signed the papers.

SHOCKED WHEN HEARING THE PENALTIES

Later, learning that her driver's license would be confiscated for 6 months, the female driver reacted with surprise to the police officer, saying "Whoa." The woman's outburst made the teams at the checkpoint smile. Wanting to confirm the penalty again, the female driver asked, "I won't be able to use my license for 6 months, right?" When the police officer said, "If you do, there's a 200,000 lira fine," the female driver reacted this time with the words, "Whoa, oh please don't." Those moments created amusing scenes at the checkpoint, and the drunk driver was taken to the police station for a statement after the procedures.
