In his speech at the General Assembly, AK Party Istanbul Deputy İsmail Emrah Karayel drew attention to the genocide in Gaza, stating that "This is not the subject of this session," before being interrupted.

"VERY SAD FROM A HUMAN RIGHTS PERSPECTIVE"

Despite the interruptions, Karayel continued his speech, saying: "My time is not up yet. What about freedom of expression? There is condemnation regarding antisemitism. What about anti-Christianity, anti-Islam? This is a very, very interesting situation and very sad from a human rights perspective. This is Europe, the place where we support human rights. What about the rights of the people in Gaza?"

On the other hand, Karayel shared those moments on his social media account, stating: "They can't even tolerate hearing about the genocide in Gaza. Our freedom of expression has been attacked at the European Union Conference (#COSAC)! You will not silence us! The murderer Israel will face justice, and those who remain silent in the face of oppression will eventually pay the price before history."
