In the Kozan district of Adana, a father named E.K., who began harboring a grudge against the other family after his daughter was kidnapped two days ago, shot and killed his son-in-law's father and older brother with a shotgun when he encountered them on the road.

In the Kozan district of Adana, a confrontation between families who had been in a feud over a kidnapping that occurred two days ago ended in bloodshed. E.K. shot and killed Ali Ersoy (55) and his son Ömer Ersoy (29) with a shotgun when they encountered him on the road.

THEY ENCOUNTERED WHILE CARRYING HAY BALES

The incident occurred in the evening hours in the Aydın neighborhood of Kozan district. According to claims, Y.E., the son of Ali Ersoy, had kidnapped and married E.K.'s daughter two days ago, leading to a feud between the two families.

Today, in the evening hours, father Ali Ersoy and his son Ömer Ersoy, who were traveling on a tractor loaded with hay bales, encountered E.K. on the road. The argument that started between the father and son getting off the tractor and E.K. escalated quickly. Succumbing to his anger, E.K. opened fire on the father and son with the shotgun he had with him.

GENDARMERIE CAUGHT HIM RED-HANDED

Upon hearing the gunshots, gendarmerie teams patrolling the area immediately took action and apprehended the suspect E.K. along with the crime weapon, the shotgun.

After the gendarmerie team reported the situation via radio, health teams were promptly dispatched to the scene. Initial checks by health officials determined that father Ali Ersoy died at the scene. Ömer Ersoy, who was seriously injured and taken to Kozan State Hospital by ambulance, could not be saved despite all the doctors' interventions.

The bodies of the deceased father and son were taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy procedures. While the murder suspect E.K., who was taken into custody, is undergoing gendarmerie procedures, a multi-faceted investigation into the incident continues.
